A traditional dream compendium
Menglin Xuanjie is a Chinese dream compendium represented here through the reviewed project archive. The archive preserves a table of contents, introductory writing, editorial principles, dream theory, and material on yin-yang and five-element correspondences.
Four connected collections
Its editorial principles divide the work into Dream Origins, Dream Theories, Traditional Responses, and Symbol Interpretation. That structure is more useful than treating it as a list of one-line fortunes.
How we use it
Source entries are kept separate from editorial articles. When an article draws on an entry, its Traditional Sources section identifies it. This site does not invent quotations, chapters, or historical claims when the archive does not support them.
Reading it today
The book belongs to cultural history. Its symbolic vocabulary can prompt reflection, but it is not scientific diagnosis, personal certainty, or guaranteed prediction. Traditional attributions are described as such, not as settled scholarship.
